Hi! My name is Scott King and I am the founder and owner of Regia Multimedia Services, LLC.
Storytelling is an integral and foundational component of business. In an increasingly digital age, it’s becoming more and more important to be able to communicate your business’ messaging across digital platforms. In the modern business world, it’s incumbent on you to be your own advocate to drive messaging to your target audience in order to achieve business goals. Regia exists to support these communication needs across multimedia platforms, whether that be through written word, video, audio, or photography.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Professional Writing with a minor in Marketing from Capital University in Columbus. From there, I served for two years as a literacy instructor with the Peace Corps, where I launched my own personal blog and created Peace Corps News television segments aired on the Grenada Broadcasting Network.
The combination of these experiences inspired me to enroll at the University of Nevada, Reno, where I earned a Master’s degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Media Innovation. During my time in Reno, I gained valuable experience through my apprenticeship with Our Town Reno and the Our Town Reno Podcast. My responsibilities included interviewing homeless subjects, community activists, and political leaders while covering the affordable housing crisis in The Biggest Little City.
Upon graduation from UNR, I served under contract with the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services creating video content for the Nevada Health Response Team during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was also during this time I began writing for the Sierra Nevada Ally as a science & technology reporter in the Mountain West region, an online magazine for which I am still a contributor to this day. My responsibilities for the Ally include written reports and audio narrations, as well as radio-style audio stories, in order to broaden the audience reach of our pieces.
I then moved to Arlington, VA, to work for the Air & Space Forces Association, where I launched studio operations that included live-production events like the Warfighters in Action and Aerospace Nation broadcast series featuring active-duty Pentagon officials and Air Force and Space Force senior leadership. Other responsibilities included written and video sponsored content with the Air & Space Forces Magazine and overseeing an overhaul and website migration of afa.org.
In July of 2022, I returned to Columbus, Ohio to further develop my video production skills shooting, producing, and editing news packages for MediaSourceTV.
Now, in April of 2023, I have decided to consolidate several of my ongoing projects under one entity: Regia Multimedia Services, LLC. You’re welcome to explore this site for links to previous professional experience and portfolio work and please see my contact page for business inquires. Thank you for your time and consideration.
All the best,
Scott King
